Court orders suspension of UNILAG name change to MAULAG

A Federal High Court in Ikeja has ordered the suspension of changing the name of the University of Lagos to Moshood Abiola University, Lagos. Justice Steven Adah on Monday ordered that the status quo be maintained pending the hearing and determination of the two suits challenging the propriety of the name change by President Goodluck Jonathan on May 29. The judge thus directed that parties in the two suits must not take any action capable of jeopardising the outcome of the suits pending their hearing and final determination.
